The Geneva motor show just
ended yesterday and the show had some awesome cars, ones to die-for! I have
been away for some time, traveling to the Geneva Motor Show, in my dreams. I am
firm believer that dreams do come true, especially if they are of some of the most
expensive cars in the world :-)
I am actually going to list
down some of my favorite and really thrilling cars seen at the Geneva Auto Show
for your ‘driving’ pleasure . . . (no pun intended). Oh, and since I have stargazed of so many of them, I am splitting the post in to two. (Technorati: W7MHR6JCPVEA)
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse; Price: $2 Million

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse |
Synonymous with speed, the
Bugatti Veyron has always been THE sports car to buy, die for! And now, the
company launched, a meaner, more muscular, Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
Vitesse convertible, an open to sky version of its sports model. This Bugatti
is a super expensive convertible, which is powered by a roaring 8.0-liter,
quad-turbocharged W16 engine, lifted out of the Veyron Super Sport and plucked
to produce an amazing 1,200 bhp and a top speed of, deep breath, 410 km/h!
Lamborghini Aventador J; Price: $2.75 Million
Lamborghini Aventador J |
What does the name Lamborghini
mean to you? For me it is about a really low-swung, symmetrically designed,
super expensive car . . . that’s a complete waste of money!! :-)
Ok, just kidding. The
Lamby is an astounding brand of superfast luxury cars. And the new Aventador J
is no different from its predecessors; expect that is quickly garnering the tag
of being the most expensive supercars so far and has been sold to an anonymous
buyer. The Lamborghini Aventador J is fitted with 6.5 L V12 engine to produce
around 700 bhp of power with a top speed of 186 mph. Two of the best features
of this car (according to me) are the lack of windshield and air-conditioning.
Aston Martin V12
Zagato; Price: $516,789

Aston Martin V12 Zagato |
I have to admit, I have always
been fascinated by, and a little in love with, James Bond. I loved the
suaveness, the panache, and just the sheer magnetism of the spy’s personality.
But I also loved, envied, his cars, especially the Aston Martins. So when I saw
the all new Aston Martin V12 Zagato, also one of the more costly cars so far, I
was blown away by the looks and the price! The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is a
great mix of good design, long lineage, and futuristic technology. Power packed, the V12 engine coolly produces
510 bhp of power to propel the car to hit a high of 190 mph. The Zagato can
achieve 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds!! That’s insane! Hand-crafted, the AM V12
Zagato is available in 4 different colors - Scintilla Silver, Alloro Green,
Alba Blue, and Diavolo Red. Only 150 Zagatos are planned to be manufactured.
Ferrari F12
Berlinetta 2012; Price: TBA

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta |
The 2012 Geneva Motor Show witnessed
the launch of the super sexy Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. And if rumors are to be
believed, this Ferrari is supposed to the fastest F ever built. Taking
inspiration from the Ferraris - FF, 599 GTB Fiorano & 550 Maranello, the
F12 Berlinetta has a V12 engine to get a thrust of 750 bhp, a F1 dual-clutch
transmission, and capability to achieve a max. speed of 211 mph! The Ferrari F12
Berlinetta uses the new carbon-ceramic brakes designed by the company.
My mind is reeling! I am
losing control!
It’s time to pull the brake on this post.
I think I need to go
slow…all that talk of speed is making me making me feel giddy! Pant...Pant...
